The standard, traditional camera strap puts a lot of strain on your neck and back—one of the reasons why so few photographers use one—but the Camera Lift-Strap changes all that. With a simple alteration, it moves the strain from your neck, to your shoulders.
Designed by PONTE Leather Co. for travel photographers, the Camera Lift-Strap is a simple affair: a standard camera strap with an additional clipping strap attached to the very back. That additional strap hooks up to the handle of your backpack, shifting the weight of your camera from your neck to your more-capable shoulders.
There’s not much more to say about the Camera Lift-Strap. The strap is currently being funded on Kickstarter where you can get it in two different varieties: Canvas, made from weather-treated nylon, and Leather, made from “top-grain leather.”
The Leather Strap will run you $59, while the canvas version comes in at a more affordable $26; and if you’re willing to spend more money, you can buy multiple straps at steep discounts. To find out more or pre-order one up for yourself, click here.
