A basic landscape or cityscape photograph is just the beginning for Italian photo manipulation artist and architect Laurent Rosset. It’s once he has the pieces in Photoshop that his creations really begin coming to life.
Most landscapes go out towards some distant horizon, but not Rosset’s. His become the horizon, curling up and distorting your perception until you’re not sure if you’re looking at a landscape shot from the ground or captured from the air:
But that’s not the only type of manipulation Rosset has become very adept at. He uses his landscape, portrait, and product photography to create other disorienting scenes.

Cover up a portrait subject like a blanket:
Or become two dimensional:
