Photography Mittens You Can Crochet Yourself

If you live in a cold area and have both a passion for photography and a knack for crocheting, here’s a fun project for you: photography mittens. Carmen Jacob of Spindle Shuttle Needle has created stylish mittens that have special holes for your thumb and index finger to poke through, allowing you to operate your camera while keeping your hands warm and toasty.

You’ll need about 6oz of acrylic yarn — Jacob recommends “I love this Yarn!” brand yarn.

“This pattern uses slip stitch ribbing for the cuff and single crochet for the body that can be done ‘Waistcoat’ style, or traditional single crochet if preferred, though it will look SUPER different,” Jacob says. Here are the instructions in PDF form that you can download and print out:
