It seems like everybody has chimed in about the Facebook censorship controversy surrounding Pulitzer Prize Winning photographer Nick Ut’s photo “Terror of War” … except the photographer himself. Until now.
In a short talk with photographer Raul Roa, Nick Ut shares his thoughts about the controversy. Not angry or upset at all, Ut reiterated the real message of the photo and then thanked the thousands of people who reached out to him with messages of support over the past week, and fought to keep his photo uncensored.
“That picture shows tragedy, not nudity,” says Ut. “Everyone in the world, my fans, supported me […] I’m thankful for everyone’s support.”
