If you like both photography and “things arranged neatly” photos, check out this photo of photographer John S. Payne‘s Nikon SLR collection. Actually, this is only about 1/3 of his entire collection.
Payne is a North Carolina-based photographer who has been shooting with Nikon since 1975 and seriously collecting since the early 1990s. He now has about 150 Nikon cameras and 155 lenses with a total value of about $150,000.
We previously featured his camera collection in July 2016, when it was worth $125,000. Here’s the “family portrait” we shared at the time:
If you’re wondering how he manages to store so much gear, here’s the answer: Payne took a giant 1929 vintage movie theater and converted it into his personal photo studio, which also doubles as his little private camera museum.
